This is the draft to my final piece. I'm really happy with how it turned out, I think they work as individual postcards, but look great when they are all put together. Personally, this project didn't interest me much to begin with because I wasn't sure where to take it, but as soon as I came up with idea I was happy doing the work. I enjoyed working out where to put the words and in what shape to make it all work together in this way.
Something else I saw that I thought was good for this project was an advert for Guinness.

The way they use the cloud in this advert is very surreal to how a cloud actually is. This advert really caught my eye, and as soon as I saw it I thought about this project.
I searched for books in the college library for this project but found that as everyone was doing the same sort of thing, most of the useful books had been taken out. I decided to go to the University library in my own time and search for useful books in there. I found a few books that interested me, sixties designs and Salvador Dali were some that I looked at. The following link shows a few images of the books I looked at and things they contained that I thought was relevant to my work and which inspired me, whether it was the colour or the way it was put together.

After doing my little thumbnails I decided to take it a little further and draw things a bit bigger and a bit clearer to get an idea of how some things could possibly look. They were all done pretty quickly as I just wanted a rough idea of which direction I should take the project.
After writing all my ideas down I made a few little thumbnails of what I thought I could possibly do for this brief.
After reading this brief, I definitely wasn't sure how to start. There were so many words to have to fit into the piece of work, I really didn't know what to do, so I thought I'd just try and get some ideas down to begin with.
